“Koukutzelis Bros” is a growing company dealing with the wholesale trade and processing of nuts, dried fruits and cereals.
The main goal from the beginning until today is to provide excellent quality products and services both to customers and to the end consumer.
Our History
The history of the business goes back to 1960, where it started with the seasonal collection and then sale of nuts in shops in Thessaloniki.
In the following years and with the second generation having taken over the management of the business, the activity is mainly focused on the trade of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds from Evros producers. Thus it occupies a large share of the market in Northern Greece.
The next step in the expansion of the business was dealing with the processing of fruits before they go on the market, and specifically the cracking of almonds and walnuts.
It was only natural that the passion and love for nuts, together with the know-how acquired over the years, should be passed on to the next generation.
Equipment
Thus, in 2003, having the necessary knowledge, the company goes a step further in the processing of raw materials and deals with roasting. With new modern machinery, he started with the roasting of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, and then other species were added according to the new market requirements.
Today he is able to process all kinds of nuts!
Facilities
2007 is a landmark year for the company as it is transferred to new privately owned and state-of-the-art facilities that by 2016 reached to cover 1300 sq.m. Now having two large warehouses with suitable storage areas and cold rooms for the storage of raw materials and goods, it is able to meet the increased market demand.
